POSITION: English Associate or Assistant Pastor
CHURCH BACKGROUND:
A non-denominational Chinese Christian church, planted
in September 2001 with Sunday attendance of 350 adults,
youth, and children. The church is growing steadily with
two congregations: Chinese and English.
COMPENSATION:
* Salary compensation will be decided by the Board of
Deacons based upon candidates's qualification and
experience.
* Other benefits include health insurance, pension,
vacation, study leave, tuition reimbursement, etc.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop English ministry strategy with church
leaders/Senior Pastor to meet the Church’s vision and
objectives.
* Plan, coordinate and implement English ministry with a
Christ-centered, comprehensive program that would
minister our English speaking adults through worship,
Christian education, fellowship, Christian service,
outreach and discipleship.
* Disciple and strengthen existing coworkers; recruit and
develop new coworkers for the English ministry.
* Preach in Sunday Worships for at least three time a
month.
* Support the overall church development and direction in
conjunction with youth ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Calling to serve as a pastor.
* Master of Divinity from an accredited Seminary.
* Minimum 2 years of pastoral experience
(can be substituted with church leadership experience)
HELPFUL SKILLS:
* Strong leadership, organizational, communication and
interpersonal skills.
* Ability in serving a cross-cultural environment
preferred.
* Musical skills a plus.
* Cantonese or Chinese language a plus.

including youth fellowship, Christian education,
discipleship, mission and outreach programs.
* Disciple youth, develop youth ministry leaders and
communicate with parents.
* Support the overall church development and direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Calling to serve in youth ministry.
* Bachelor or higher degree from an accredited Bible
college (or enroll in seminary).
* Minimum 2 years experience in youth ministry
* Fluent in English

Senior Pastor Position
Title: Senior Pastor
Qualifications:
* Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited seminary.
* Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Minimum 3 years ministry experience in North American Chinese church.
* Fluency in Cantonese and English.
Principal Job Description and Accountability:
* Be a spiritual leader in the church.
* Ministry focus will be on shepherding the Cantonese and English congregations including preaching, teaching, discipleship and visitation.
* Lead and work together with other pastors and Board of Deacons in ministry planning and execution.
* Provide mentorship and supervision to pastoral staff.
